Srirangapatna is a place with history.  It is close to Bangalore in India. If you go to Bangalore, or to Mysore, then its definitely worth a stop at Srirangapatna. The history of Srirangapatna and Tipu Sultan are intertwined. 

How to get there:

You can take a 2-3 hour car ride to Srirangapatna from Bangalore. Or train. Or bus. There are plenty of different transports available. Its hardly 15-30 minutes from Mysore.
