Carrizo Plains California wildflower superbloom of 2017
Amazing California wildflower bloom in Carrizo Plains National Monument in Southern California happened recently in 2017 and in 2023. It has to be experienced to be believed. Miles and miles of yellow, orange and purple / violet wildflowers flood the plains and the hills of the Temblor range. The season is typically late March to early April depending on the rains. Find the place on the map and drive to it when you hear about it, because the bloom is only for a couple of weeks typically.
